BIOGRAPHY

Cheryl is a Brighton based drummer, known for playing a variety of genres. She graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music in 2022 with a First Class Honours classification, BA (Hons) Music Industry Practice in drums. 

 

Since graduating she has played with a variety of artists, playing national and international shows. She also has recording experience, some of which is showcased in her live links section of the website.

 

Currently Cheryl is playing with SLADY, the world's only all female tribute to Slade. Since joining the group she has performed and toured in the UK, Germany and the United States. The band has  various festival appearances and more UK dates coming up, as well as some dates in Norway and Denmark.

 

Previous experience has included playing with alt rock / dirty pop four piece Shallow Honey, performing live lounge sessions on BBC Introducing as well as playing various iconic venues, such as The Hope & Ruin (Brighton), The Amersham Arms (London), and The Fighting Cocks (Kingston), amongst others. 

 

Eddie Roxy & The Adjacent Kings is fronted by former frontman of 80’s punk legends Department S - known for their hit ‘Is Vic There?’ The band performed various dates supporting the members on a UK tour, as well as playing at various venues, such as The 100 Club (London).

 

Bugeye is a sequin drenched all female four piece from Croydon. Cheryl performed with them at various festivals, such as the Isle of Wight Festival, and Croydon Pride, amongst others. They also played a BBC Introducing Live Lounge session, and played at various venues across the UK, such as The Prince Albert (Brighton).

 

Cheryl also has experience playing with a variety of function bands. She specialises in rock and pop genres, with a particular emphasis on groove and dynamics. She has excellent sight reading ability, and experience playing a hybrid set up, and playing to a click / backing track.
